All across Canada in 2P Revolution

I have used this tent extensively in 2019 from west coast, central to east coast Canada from sun to rain and 0 to 22 degrees Celsius. I had debated this tent for 6 months, it's hard to know what you are buying when you can't experience it at your finger tips. In the end I purchased the 2P Revolution mesh tent at the end of 2018. Pros: Light weight I have the 2P and love the size for just myself, Quality Materials, Good vestibule sizes, Quick delivery, and Really easy set up. Negatives: Fly material does not shed water, it seems to be hydrostatic even when shaking the tent down, When fly material is wet the zipper gets stuck ALL the time which means you have a tent and arm open to the elements, Clips are very hard to undo when your hands are cold***, Bottom of the tent still gets wet with groundsheet so you technically still have a wet tent (strategic folding required to keep the mesh dry), Clips are too tight to tent so the fly touches the tent at times (I've just learned to unclip sections on rainy days especially on windy rainy days because the fly needs to be taught), Slippery floor moves the sleeping pad and ultimately sleeping bag to touch the tent which means a moisture on the bottom of the sleeping bag, and Customer service often didn't answer the questions I was asking when e-mailing (impossible to call), the website could use development as there isn't enough information on the tent online especially compared to the competition (Hilleburg, Niak) Overall, happy.

    Great Tent

I used it 3 times now and very happy. So easy to put up and take down. With the inner already attached that was great for wet weather. Packs up small too. Cant fault it so far. Customer service is great too.

I cannot fault these tents. I originally bought a Big Sky Revolution 1 person tent. I had done a lot of research. I looked at tent measurements and weight. Went to hiking stores and sat in them to see how roomy they were. My main criteria was to be able to sit up straight with out hitting the roof, (while sitting on a sleeping mat). The Big Sky tents were the only ones that would give me that height and plenty of room inside, 2 vestibules and very light weight. I am 5 foot 7. Also the vestibules were bigger than other tents . My other criteria was a fly that went as close to the ground as possible. I noticed other tents, Nemo, Big Agnus. MSR that their rain flys did not reach the ground and in a heavy rain water would seep in while your sleeping bag or pillow is pressed up against the end of the tent (which they always do). I have not had any problem with water in the tent. Loved this tent so much I have now also bought the Revolution 2 person for when i take someone with me. Both are so easy to set up and dismantle quickly. Plenty of pockets for storage in both 4 in 1 person and 4 in 2 person. The discrete khaki green colour is also preferable for me. Also love that I can purchase a 4 season inner tent if I ever need one....no need to buy a complete tent with fly. Just buy the inner to use with your existing fly.

Features of my 2017 Version (G-2)

Some of the features I have noticed on my new 2017 tent: 1) The so-called "thin & very slippery" floor material has now been replaced by much more robust NON SLIP material. 2) The Revolution 2P is much longer (up to 7") than all all other ultra-light tents. For those who utilizes a LW (long & wide) sleeping bag this is a HUGE advantage.

    Big Sky International

    1) The non-slip, seam tape floor is now standard for Big Sky's tents. 2) We try to design for full size people... we do not think ultra light backpackers are smaller. We try to put the comfort in and take the weight out. Thanks for your comments, Big Sky International
