ok. i don’t own a big sky tent. I do use a hiking pole tent that takes 8 stakes to pitch. most light stakes work but have various drawbacks. they bend, they don’t hold in all dirt, they don’t come out clean.
tube stakes: these go in any dirt, can even be pounded in with a rock if needed. will not bend, and come out of the ground clean. the “Y” extrusion stakes are the next best, but always keep dirt stuck within the stake when you pull it out.
these are light , strong, and with no drawbacks.
