I have used these for a number of years and love them! The rope pass-through being drilled through both the head and shaft makes them easy to pull with no worry of the head popping off.
My only disappointment - my old ones are bright green and the new ones are black, which makes them harder to find on the ground. I’d pay a little more to have a color option for these and the stake bags. If that becomes available, I’ll buy more and donate these.
Haven’t had a chance to use it yet but it seems well made and the medium is the perfect size for me. My son has been using one for a while and he loves his.
Most effective insulation pouch I've found at this weight.
This is the fourth and best insulated food pouch I’ve tried. The others were just as light but did not provide much insulation. 1.5 oz seems to be the lightest these things can go and still provide any insulation worth carrying another item for. This one uses Primaloft, which seems to give more insulation than reflectix, or heat reflecting film, which the competitors all seem to use to stay light.
This was PRECISELY 1.5 ounces on my scale, appears to be built well enough to last a few years if treated well, and has a strap to keep it closed. I think my search is finally over - this one is as light as I can find and also does the job as well as I want it to. Thanks!
Medium pouch comfortably fit a range of different commercial freeze-dried meals from different companies. Just drop in opened meal pouch, add hot water, wait 15 minutes and... totally rehydrated hot meal. Simple and effective.
Durable and lightweight with a design that cradles the head for both side and back sleepers. Comes with a shock cord to keep pillow from sliding around. My alpaca buff makes for a nice pillow case. I have tried numerous pillows and this is the lightest and meets or exceeds the comfort provided by any pillow in my gear closet. Just finished an AT section hike from Harper’s Ferry to Boiling Springs and this pillow has earned my confidence. Would buy again!
I have an Evlolution 2P tent after ten years of many hikes, I discovered thin spots and pin holes in the rain fly. I contacted Big Sky Int. and right away I got a reply through email with the list of parts that I can order for my tent. For a third of the cost, I now have like brand new tent thanks to a company that still sells parts on a product that's over ten years old. Shows two things, the quality of master mind of this lightweight tent and the company standing by their parts that we can order replacement items to save us money not having to buy a new one. Great Company!!
