ビッグスカイ ミラージュ 2P テント

So much room!! Packs small. Perfect for 2. Concerned my pups paws may damage the floor, because the material is so light, but we will see.

I took my brand new Big Sky Mirage 1P tent on an off-road bikepacking adventure on the Tasmanian Trail in February. It was an 8 day mountainous ride and we camped every night but one. The tent was great. Very lightweight, good ventilation, enough room to put most of my stuff inside with plenty of pocket space and the wonderful clothes line on the top! My face cloth was dry every morning after hanging on the internal clothes line to dry. Easy to set up and take down. No pegs required, though one windy night I did use the pegs while setting up and to secure one of the door flaps which I closed for privacy. The only down side on the tent is that on colder nights there is a lot of condensation that builds up on the top inside the tent. Condensation is always an issue, but since this tent doesn't have a separate fly the condensation was perhaps more noticeable. I would have to pack up the tent damp but when I set it up the next night it didn't take long to dry out. Fortunately, we did not have any rain on our ride (which is highly unusual for Tasmania) so I can't comment on how it holds up in proper rain.

I definitely recommend getting the pegs and goundsheet as well. The groundsheet clips into the base of the tent and is color coded to make it quick and easy to set up. Downsides to the groundsheet is that it tears fairly easily so you have to make sure that the ground is very clear of even the tiniest twig. It tore my first night and so every night after I did have to spend some time making sure the ground was twig free. Also, the groundsheet is sticky on the bottom side so all of the grass clippings, etc stick to it. Even after getting it home and cleaning it I can't get rid of them all!
