Tube SteakTM tent pegs/stakes

- excellent holding power to weight ratio
- good for areas with hard ground

The Tube SteakTM tent peg was originally designed by Big Sky International about 20 years ago. Originally, Big Sky offered their tents with a similar tent peg design offered by another company, but the heads would pull off so Big Sky designed the Tube SteakTM tent peg so the head would not come off. Since then, others have copied our design, but it was Big Sky that originally designed the head of a tent peg this way.

Big Sky also includes an installed reflective pull cord for your convenience.

- Tube SteakTM 15 size: 15cm (6in) x 8mm
   weight: 8.9g/ea (0.31oz/ea)

- Tube SteakTM 18 size: 18.2cm (7.25in) x 8.5mm
   weight: 12.2g/ea (0.43oz/ea)

- Tube SteakTM 20 size: 20cm (8in) x 8.5mm

Note: while the Tube SteakTM tent pegs are very strong, we do not guarantee them to be indestructible.

- No-Lose-EmTM color

Big Sky Tube Tent Stakes

Bought the 6” ones to stake out my tent, each stake is a solid piece. Bought the larger ones last year for my guy lines. Good quality does the job very pleased.

Great quality

They survived a very tough terrain in Iceland. No breaking, no bending, only some scratches from hammering using a stone. Lightweight, easy to clean. Strongly recommended.

I would suggest to rather make them red or yellow than green - harder to see in the grass.

I love these stakes BUT?

I've used these stakes on many tents and tarps for my hammocks. worked awesome, BUT... I went to the BWCA on Canada border in January using a toboggan sled to haul my gear, below zero F all the days I was there. ground froze, little snow. I could hammer the stakes in but when I was going to change camping areas I tried to remove the stakes but the tops popped off or bent when I tried to remove from ground... Most I could not remove. I'll be using screw stakes for frozen ground...

We curious... when you say, 'tops popped off' did you use the pull cord to try to remove the Tube Steak tent pegs from the frozen ground? The tops/heads are connected to tubes with pull cords so heads should not come off unless the pull cords were not used or were broken.

Also, do you think Tube Steak tent pegs became 'frozen' into ground? We have used them in frozen ground, and found that tapping the sides a bit would loosen them enough to remove them.

Awesome pegs

They held my tent solid last night in very windy conditions, gusts up to 30 mph

Perfect

Been looking for a well designed stake that incorporates a good head design. These are absolutely brilliant. Use them with my MLD cricket. Great price. Well made. Will buy more.
